This was my office with @jaggedlittlealanis at @ro This was my office with @jaggedlittlealanis at @rocknribsfestival 3pm this afternoon. I knew they had an @ampeg “cab” available, but not what it was. I decided this was the perfect time to take the @traceelliotamps V4 to a festival and do that big stage thing. When I arrived, I discovered it was that holy grail of festival cabs, a real, honest to goodness old Ampeg 8x10. An absolute UNIT. The V4 delivered in spades, and now I want to work out how the hell I can get one of those cabs and keep it somewhere. DAMMIT THIS IS NOT WHAT I HAD IN MIND 😂🤣 What a festival. I had the @rikkersguitars Bodyline for it and it sounded just awesome. So much tone! Love to my wife Nic for driving, it was a glorious day, and to my bandmates I say 😘

Just loved this after my 6 weeks away from gigging Just loved this after my 6 weeks away from gigging while my right hand tendon injury (torn Sagittal band) healed. A new challenge while my hand recovers - time to l A new challenge while my hand recovers - time to learn how to use the Behringer XR18 desk I have and get some scenes saved for live work. Thinking it’d work well for @jaggedlittlealanis so we can have our own complete mix and monitor setup! I do have a pair of Mackie Thumps and a wedge monitor as well, I guess I need a subwoofer now. The thumps are 15” though…
Argh. Last Saturday, while trying to tighten up a Argh. Last Saturday, while trying to tighten up a clamp on a mic stand, of all things, I managed to rupture a “sagittal band” for the middle finger on my right hand. This keeps the tendon in place on top of the knuckle, and it started moving all over the place. Very painful after it happened a couple of times. I’m now looking at 6 weeks minimum where I can’t use my plucking hand to pluck. Gutted does not even start to cover it - cancelled a lot of gigs, and can’t even practice properly. I plan to get very, very good at double thumbing, which I think I’ll be able to do, and it’ll keep my left hand agile. Wish me luck. #injury #bassplayer
