I thought I’d put up a post with nothing but gig pictures from 2025 so far – these are just a few of the fantastic gigs I’ve done this year, and there’s a fair few jam nights as well which aren’t in here. I’ll post those later…

In no particular order, this includes:

  • a couple of weddings with Will Blake, which were really nice, relaxed ones where everybody got the chance to kick back before the set started – one of the perks of a wedding gig is you set up before the wedding party sits down for speeches, fizz and dinner – so as a result everybody gets the chance to chat and enjoy a little socialisation before everything kicks off. I’ve met some great musicians in Will’s stable this year, and reconnected with some great ones too.
  • Several gigs with Jagged Little Alanis, including Bredon Cider Festival (which was a real highlight!), Aylesbury theatre (which was more or less sold out!), Facebar in Reading (again, the audience sings back at you so much you can hear every word – they love this stuff!)
  • A particularly mad gig outdoors at an army barracks in Southampton, entirely country-themed, where I played with Haystacks and rode a mechanical bull for the first time… killer food at that gig. BBQ from the US of A!
  • A throwback to last Christmas’s gigs with Jack over at Ascot racecourse, which were very swanky.
  • At least a couple of jam nights, including the stuff at the Victoria in Wokingham, which has to be the longest running jam in Berkshire by now, and the newest little night at Reloaded in Newbury (something local!) which is turning out to be a whole new bunch of musicians to get to know! Jam nights are the best fun.

Here’s to more gigs to come!
